  I would rather have in-app sounds. Even if it's a light beep. it does get annoying but no more annoying than normal instant messaging apps. We use this at my job so this is very important for me when I'm at lunch or on my day off but still need to remain aware of what's going on.

  Actually even in-app. Currently while the screen is locked, there's neither audio nor push notification that IMs have been received. I've set my Adium status to include "Push" and received no notice. Being able to set both in-app and push would be great; making them separate, distinct sounds would be even better (can do this in Beejive).

  I was only thinking in terms of when messages are pushed. when I'm in the app, I don't feel a sound is necessary.

  Is this referring to when you are in-app, or for PUSH notifications?

  For in-app, early testing found notifications got very irritating very quickly. We are looking into more visual notifications around the app to show you new messages are available while you're using Remodium.

  If this is in regards to PUSH, I'll mark this as in review and we'll look into ways of allowing some options.
